Chamonix Mont Blanc France is a prestigious town with the legendary Mont Blanc as well as tumbling glaciers. The group like to go paragliding or from time to time visiting the Aiguille du Midi. I invariably catch a plane from Greenville and stay at a Chamonix catered chalet for the duration of my break.
I used to went to Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside however it never matched its description: Overlooking the Blackcomb and Whistler ski lifts, this boutique hotel is one block from Whistler Village Square, two blocks from the Whistler Conference Centre, and approximately 85 Vancouver International Airport. Amenities include 24-hour front desk, meeting rooms, babysitting, daily housekeeping, Interet kiosk (w/fee), business services, laundry services, valet parking, year-round outdoor, heated pool, two whirlpools, a steam room, fitness center’s exercise equipment and spa treatment menu.
However in Chamonix Haute Savoie France the catered chalet is invariably good. In addition eating out in our favorite hotel restaurant, Geisha Steakhouse, eating lamb chops with yogurt-mint sauce is a real treat. Chamonix Mont Blanc is a large enough destination to insure that there is plenty for the snowboarder to do. Including a spa and a plethora of shops, Chamonix offers a mix of skiing, French charm and shopping which few resorts can beat.
